This policy explains what Tally collects, why, and what control you have. Tally is operated by MarketMinder. If anything here is unclear, email support@marketminderx.com.
The short version: we store what you write so we can show it back to you. We send trade data to an AI provider only when you press the button. We don't sell your data to anyone, ever. You can export or delete everything yourself at any time.
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Email address | Your login, password resets, service notices |
| Password (hashed) | Authentication. Stored as a one-way hash — we can't read it |
| Trades you log | The journal itself |
| Reflections you write | The journal itself, and input to AI Reads you request |
| Chart screenshots | Stored as files on our server, shown in your journal |
| Profile photo | Optional, shown only to you and any mentor you share with |
| Timezone | Displaying times correctly |
| Broker tokens | Only if you connect a broker, to sync your closed trades |
| Consent record | Version accepted, timestamp, IP — proof of your choices |
We don't use advertising trackers or third-party analytics that profile you across the web.
When you request an AI Read, the trades and reflections for that period are sent to Anthropic, our AI provider, to generate the analysis. This happens only when you press the button — never automatically or in the background.
Chart screenshots you attached to those reflections are sent as well, so the analysis can tell whether what you described matches what the chart actually showed. A limited number are included per read, and losing and breakeven trades are prioritised. If you would rather no images were sent, don't attach screenshots — everything else in the Read works without them.
Anthropic processes the data to return a result and does not use API data to train their models. We cache the result so re-opening it doesn't send your data again.
We retain the AI Reads you generate, together with the trades and reflections behind them, and review them internally to upgrade and improve the system — sharpening the quality of the analysis Tally provides. This data is used only to operate and improve Tally. It is never sold, and never shared outside Tally.
If you'd rather no trade data ever leaves our servers, simply don't use the AI Read feature. Everything else in Tally works without it.
By default, nobody but you.
If you join a mentor's group through their invite link, that mentor can read your trades, reflections and screenshots. They cannot edit or delete anything. You are shown who you're sharing with on every screen, and you can stop sharing instantly from your profile — access ends immediately.
We may access account data only where necessary to fix a technical problem, investigate abuse, or comply with a legal obligation.
Tally relies on a small number of providers, each handling only what their function requires:
We never sell your personal data, and we never share your journal with advertisers or data brokers.
Wherever you live, Tally gives you these directly in the app:
If you're in the UK or EU, you also have the right to object to processing, request restriction, and complain to your local data protection authority.
Passwords are stored as one-way hashes. Traffic is encrypted over HTTPS. Sessions use random tokens that expire. Uploaded images are stored in non-guessable locations that cannot execute code.
Honest caveat: image URLs are unguessable but not individually access-controlled — anyone you send a direct image link to could open it. Don't share those links if the content is sensitive.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we'll tell you promptly and explain what happened.
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
Tally is not for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect data from children. If we learn we have, we'll delete it.
If we change this policy materially, we'll ask you to review and accept it in the app before you continue. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
Privacy questions, access requests, or complaints: support@marketminderx.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.
